Chris Caffery from the Trans Siberian Orchestra
I am honored to introduce to you a kick ass rocker known as Chris Caffery from New York City, NY. This highly rated lead guitarist has a very versatile music ability. I get in the mood to do something adventurous and cool when I hear this so in my mind if I was setting out to go out on a ghost hunt this would motivate me to gather the energy I needed. Who wouldn’t want to run out and do something exciting after hearing the music he is responsible for?
Remember when rock used to be punchy and fun? Not that it’s not today but in the late 80’s and early 90’s some guitar riffs and leads just had a certain something. Lyrics also had fun, humor and seriousness all wrapped in one. In my opinion, that’s what sets Chris Caffery apart from the rock bands of today. You’ll probably recall bands from the recent past just hearing Chris and his band. What is extra cool about this good natured guy is that he plays lead guitar for the band Savatage, and has played lead guitar for the Trans Siberian Orchestra, one of my sister’s favorite bands. You can’t deny the smokin’ leads in those songs, Christmas related or not.
I do encourage you to check out my friend Chris and his unique variety of musical talent by going to his myspace page at myspace.com/chriscaffery or better yet his website www.chriscaffery.com. You can also buy his cool stuff there as well.
This man has so many cool experiences and success I couldn’t possibly sum them up any better. So I encourage you to please check his sites out today. If you don’t feel like clicking I will quote his impressive history that can be found on his myspace page myspace.com/chriscaffery.
So here it is in all its quotable glory…
“Thanks to all who have visited here and welcome all who are new! This is Chris Caffery’s official music page, not a fan page. I personally take care of things here. I want to let you know that I do read your messages, however it is difficult for me to respond to each one so please be patient…if it is important send another and mark it 2nd attempt! I am the only one who handles this page at the moment, I do try to comment personally to all of your requests. Some die to the all mighty cyber gods…sometimes I am just too frickin’ busy. I encourage all bands to visit and promote here. I consider this place to be our own world-wide record company. FUCK the suits who say your music is not good enough. If you believe, I believe! I do try to leave personally addressed comments so, if you wish to promote yourself here at least take the time to show me your appreciation!
I did some European and American touring in support of “Faces” and “WARPED”. The European tour was in support of the legendary Metal Church. The US was a 3 band bill consisting of Jon Oliva’s Pain and Ripper Owen’s new band Beyond Fear. It was great to get out and play my solo stuff live. “Pisses Me Off” is always the crowd favorite!!!
In addition to the bands I listed I have recorded with or written songs for many bands and artists including Circle II Circle, John West, Joe Lynn Turner, Metalium, Eidolon, Jon Oliva’s Pain and more…For a complete list of my discography visit this page. http://www.chriscaffery.com/discography.htm I have also had a few special guest appearances in many friends DVD’s including Cradle of Filth and Doro! In Summer of 2006 I did a brief tour playing guitar in the reunion of the band Spread Eagle. They are good friends and the tour was a lot of fun!
On February 8th of 2006 I entered the studio to begin working on my new CD “Pins and Needles”. The European release date was March 23rd 2007 on Metal Heaven Records. The US release was June 5th on Locomotive Records. The 2006 TSO tour was tremendously successful. We performed for over one million people!! I played a couple shows in Germany this February as a special guest with Doro. Then I played a couple guest solos on the new CD by Jordi Sandalinas in Sweden. I returned to Europe for the first leg of Pins dates in April. The tour was with Kotipelto, featuring Timo the singer from Stratovarius. I remained in Europe to play lead guitar for Doro at a couple festivals. I also played the rest of her 2007 tour dates thru Sept 1st including the US run in June! My band opened the US tour as well! Double duty! I recently produced vocals in Italy for the band Merendine Atomiche. As I write this it is February 2008. I am writing for my next CD which I have not decided on a name for yet. I am also writing for the new Doro Anniversary CD and some other projects. I don’t sleep much! Thanks for all of your friendship and support!!!
Chris”
